Workwear Printing London

Durable, consistent branding for restaurant, retail, and hospitality staff.

Restaurant, cafe, and retail uniforms go through far more washing than typical apparel — often daily, sometimes at high heat. We recommend embroidery for logos on front-of-house polos and durable printing for back-of-house tees, keeping placement and colour consistent across every role.

Workwear printing in London

Work clothes are washed far more than anything else in a wardrobe, often daily and sometimes at high heat. A logo that looks sharp on day one can crack, fade or lift within weeks if the method does not suit the job. We choose the method for each role, so the logo still looks right in six months.

Who we dress

Most workwear orders come from restaurants, cafes, shops, gyms, salons and small trades. Our restaurant uniform page and gym page go deeper on those sectors, and larger companies should read our corporate t-shirt printing page. We print polos, t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and aprons.

Method by role

  • Front of house: an embroidered left-chest logo on a polo. It costs a little more than print but lasts longest through frequent washing and looks the most professional.
  • Kitchen and back of house: durable printed tees, usually DTF or heat transfer, where cost and comfort matter more than a stitched finish.
  • Aprons: a single-colour or small logo, positioned so it stays visible when the apron is tied.
  • Outerwear: hoodies and sweatshirts with a small chest logo and, if wanted, a larger back print.

You can mix methods in one order, and different roles can have different garments with the same branding.

Keeping branding consistent

Send your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS or PDF) and your brand colours. We match from Pantone references or your existing guidelines. Consistent placement matters as much as colour: if the logo sits an inch lower on one shirt than another, a team looks mismatched. We keep your artwork and placement on file, so every reorder matches the first.

Sizing a mixed team

We offer a full range of fits and sizes. For a team of any size, a short sizing form completed before you order avoids most returns. Mixed sizes inside one design carry no extra charge. If you hire often, order a small buffer of common sizes so a new starter is in uniform on their first shift.

What workwear printing costs

On our pricing page, corporate uniforms start from £11 per piece at low volume, and embroidery starts from £6 per piece for the work itself, with the final figure depending on the logo. Bulk prices step down, from an estimated £8 per piece at 10 to 25 pieces to about £4.80 at 500 or more. The quote lists each line separately, including extra print positions, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

Timing a new opening or rebrand

If uniforms need to be ready for an opening date, order two to three weeks ahead. That leaves room for artwork approval, a sample and production. Rush production is available for an extra fee that we confirm before starting.

Looking after printed and embroidered uniforms

Uniforms last longer when they are washed gently. Turn printed garments inside out, wash at a moderate temperature, and avoid bleach and the hottest tumble-dryer setting. Embroidered logos are more forgiving, but they still look best when the garment is not ironed directly over the stitching. Handing staff a short care card with their uniform costs nothing and noticeably extends the life of the print.

A simple uniform checklist for new teams

  • Decide which roles need which garment, and keep the logo in the same place on all of them
  • Choose embroidery for anything worn daily and washed often
  • Order two sets per person where staff work back-to-back shifts
  • Keep a small stock of common sizes for new starters
  • Save the final artwork and a photo of the approved sample for future reorders

What to check when comparing quotes

Two uniform quotes can look very different for reasons that have nothing to do with quality. Check whether the price includes the garment, how many print or embroidery positions it covers, whether any set-up or digitising charge applies, and whether delivery is included. Our quotes are written and itemised, with set-up costs listed separately and extra positions on their own lines, so you can compare like with like. Standard UK delivery is included in bulk quotes over 50 pieces, and orders over 100 pieces need a 50% deposit.
